New Cylinder Head and Temp Sensor fitted

So after a couple of weeks at the garage the bongo has returned home ! It now has a shiny cylinder head and a rather funky looking clock/temp/coolant sensor.

The engine has had its oiled flushed (as much is possible) and changed, along with a new oil filter. I had a short ride home from Poole, but the bongo didnt over heat, and there was plenty of traffic to test it with !

I’ve discussed with the family and we’ve made a commitment to get more utility from the bongo, as it had in the past sat there for a long time not doing much, so now i’m determined to go out more often with it.

This wasnt a cheap job, but it could of been very much more expensive, and it was done by a great engineer whom I can trust. The bongos got a 2nd lease of life now, and I’m hoping it will stay on the road for another twenty years with the TLC she’s getting 🙂
