It now has a shiny cylinder head and a rather funky looking clock\/temp\/coolant sensor.<\/p>\n<p>The engine has had its oiled flushed (<em>as much is possible<\/em>) and changed, along with a new oil filter. I had a short ride home from Poole, but the bongo didnt over heat, and there was plenty of traffic to test it with !<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve discussed with the family and we&#8217;ve made a commitment to get more utility from the bongo, as it had in the past sat there for a long time not doing much, so now i&#8217;m determined to go out more often with it.<\/p>\n<p>This wasnt a cheap job, but it could of been very much more expensive, and it was done by a great engineer whom I can trust. The bongos got a 2nd lease of life now, and I&#8217;m hoping it will stay on the road for another twenty years with the TLC she&#8217;s getting \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So after a couple of weeks at the garage the bongo has returned home !
