March 1st – New Forest Picnic

We have been using the Bongo all winter and going to the New Forest alot, but today it seems that the wind, rain and winter was slowly behind us (although coming home there was heavy rain in the distance!)

We had a great time taking our huge hot-water flask and Korean coffee to the New Forest along with a giant pretzel and ham+cheese baguatte.

As I hadnt put the roof up since last year, I tested at home first, sure enough it went up just fine ! I will grease the runners a bit tho, just to keep it running nice.

When putting the roof up it is really good, it makes the bongo feel massive, for such a ‘small’ camper. With the roof raised, the internal ceiling can also be raised, which gives alot of head room. Whilst it was a little windy, being in the bongo with the wind gently coming thru with the lovely smell of the New Forest with our coffee made it a lovely time together.
